League of Legends' annual holiday winter event is almost upon us as Snowdown 2014 is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, December 16. Developer Riot Games first teased this year's Snowdown last week, confirming it will run from Tuesday, December 16, 2014 through January 6, 2015.
Riot Games hasn't yet updated the teaser site yet, but we expect more details sometime today as we get closer to Snowdown's arrival (probably this afternoon). It's likely, however, that you can expect the traditional presents: holiday-themed skins, unique icons, and possibly a special temporary mode. Riot Games has already opened up the vault containing previous champion skins from Snowdown events of years' past. Additionally this year's three skins — Poro Rider Sejuani, Snow Day Malzahar, and Winter Wonder Orianna — will all be available when Snowdown arrives tomorrow.
Last year, Riot released three holiday skins for champions: Snow Day Singed, Winter Wonder Lulu, and Snowstorm Sivir. They also launched the Snowdown Showdown, a special mode that allowed for 1v1 or 2v2 battles, so we'll see what other goodies await us this year.
