Back in September we saw the Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson sell his creation (Minecraft) to Microsoft for $2.5 Billion. There were questions of him selling out and, well, everything that has to do with getting a lot of money for a game that a lot of people love.
What did Notch do with his $2.5 billion? Turns out that in the last six days he spent $70 million in cash on a mansion in Beverly Hills — with everything in it.
The mansion is 23,000-square-feet with eight bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, an underground garage, and a movie theater, but that's just the features. Notch bought everything in it too! He bought three 90 inch HD TV's, an 18 foot onyx table with place settings (the plates, forks and things) that are $3,700 each, a tower of M&Ms, a replica motorcycle and so much more.
Notch, will you use all 15 bathrooms? Let's take a look at what he got his hands on:
A Bentley died for this. Some poor Bentley was wandering in the wild and then it was caught, skinned for its leather and turned into pillows. You wouldn't even know that the Bentley is crazy fast for what it is…
A picture of one of the eight rooms that Notch now has full access to. It comes with two chairs that, luckily enough, are facing away from the bed – no room for an audience. The room has access to the outside – us gamers don't know much about that world…but I heard there was sunlight. Will do further research.
This is the outdoor area that the bedroom is attached to. This area seems to be an architectural feat, but the elements (I.E rain) would keep you from playing ping pong for too long.
A bar for 10+ people (filled with tequila), a car show room (that blue car is a Bugatti), a living room with two sets of chairs and couches. I don't know if cars were included in the purchase.
If you feel like the dining room table and other tequila bar weren't enough, there's always the 12(ish) person bar that looks at the table you could be eating at.
Here is yet another bar and a grenade. He bought the grenade.
All of the M&Ms Notch could ever want.
What do you think of his purchase?
