It's been a long year, no longer than any other year perhaps, but long enough for games to have made it big and vanish – only to be remembered as a "Oh yeah, that did happen…didn't it?"
Not all games get that treatment, some games are actually remembered for years (Banjo Kazooie is one of those games, don't you even dare disagree with me). If I were you ask you about Flappy Bird, would you be able to answer my questions? What platform was it on? What type of gameplay did it have? What about 2048, could you answer the same questions for that game?
Maybe you could and maybe you couldn't. The fact of the matter is, those two games were the most Googled games of the year. Out of the top three games (they towered over Destiny and Titanfall in search volume) Flappy Bird was most searched in the Philippines, 2048 was most searched in Iceland, and FIFA 15 was most searched in the UK.
