Microsoft hints that we might see Banjo Kazooie, Blast Corps, Battletoads and more revived one day

One day, like within the next 1,000 years.

Ken Lobb, Microsoft Studios creative director, says that with the help of Phil Spencer the games we know and love from the past will eventually make a come back.

During an hour long podcast with The Inner Circle, Lobb was asked about renewed trademarks and whether or not they signify the rebirth of a game. Lobb had a lot to say on the subject of game revivals, trademarks and just where Phil Spencer sits in the mix of things.

"Will there ever be another Banjo, Viva, Blast Corps, Battletoads? Yeah, someday. And I think the reason you see things like [the Battletoads trademark] revived, is because we know there's value," Lobb said. "So we renewed the trademark. Does that mean it's coming this year? No. Does that mean it'll never come? Absolutely not. We have a lot of passion internally for each of the games. And we have surprises in store in the near and long future."

What give us hope on the games making a come back, besides Lobb saying that we could see old favorites again, is that the Head of Xbox – Phil Spencer – 'understands the value of IP.' Spencer looks into the Microsoft game portfolio and thinks of what game "makes the most sense at the right time."

What games would you like to see revived?
