As if this wasn't going to happen… Netflix has announced today that the award-winning drama House of Cards will be returning for a fourth season in 2016. Based on the huge season three cliffhanger, this doesn't come as a surprise, but it's exciting nonetheless.
Given that the fourth season will air in 2016, it should be interesting given the political climate. Kevin Spacey's character, Frank Underwood, is campaigning in a cutthroat reelection part of season three that will continue into season four. It just so happens that 2016 is also the United States presidential election.
No debut date was given, but each of the three previous seasons premiered at different points in February. So far, Spacey and Robin Wright are confirmed as returning for next season. I'd assume most the cast will be back, though.
