Killing Floor 2 hits Early Access this month

More gore, more fun

Tripwire Interactive has announced that Killing Floor 2, the sequel to 2009's co-op survival-horror FPS, will hit Steam Early Access on April 21st.

Killing Floor 2 picks up in continental Europe just one month after the events in Killing Floor. Horzine Biotech's failed experiment has caused the outbreak to spread quickly; governments have collapsed, communications failed, and military forces decimated. A group of civilians and mercenaries have banded together to combat the outbreak, establishing privately funded operation bases across Europe. Utilizing them, players will take on the Zed head on.

It's important to note that while Killing Floor 2 looks to expand upon the original — with "more monsters, more characters, more weapons, more gore, and more fun" — Early Access means the game will not be in a complete state. At Early Access launch, players can expect four classes, three maps, and around 11 monsters. It'll be priced at $30 through Steam.
