The teasers for the next Call of Duty keep on rolling in as Treyarch today updated the Black Ops 2 Message of the Day with a very intriguing message.
"And so it begins…" the message reads alongside an image of a tree that when analyzed reveals a mysterious logo in the background.
The message is clearly in reference to all the hype being raised by Activision's and Treyarch's viral marketing campaign which began earlier this week when icons attached to posters in Black Ops 2 led players to the Call of Duty Snapchat where various teaser vieos are being hosted.
Black Ops 2's Message of the Day doesn't provide any more clues as to where Treyarch will take Call of Duty, but many are speculating it to be Black Ops 3; although, there are arguments to be made that it could be a sequel to World at War.
At this point, it's too early for me to speculate, but with May right around the corner — typically the month Activision reveals the new Call of Duty — it shouldn't be long before Treyarch lets the cat out of the bag. Earlier this year, Xbox community manager Raj Patel tweeted an image that when analyzed revealed suggested a new Call of Duty will be unveiled on May 4, 2015 at 10am PDT, 1pm EST.
