If you thought that today had its fill of Star Wars news, you're wrong! There's always room for more Star Wars news! This coming November we will see Star Wars Battlefront make its official release and a month after that, on December 8th we will see the first set of DLC for the game.
Battlefront's DLC, Battle of Jakku, takes place 30 years before new film, directly after the end of Return of the Jedi. The DLC comes with 2 maps set on the planet of Jakku, a territory we have yet to explore.
If you pre-order Battlefront, you will get to play Battle of Jakku on December 1st; if you don't, you get it on its worldwide release on December 8th. How you get the DLC depends entirely on where you pre-order Star Wars Battlefront.
Retailers (like GameStop) will give you the code for Battle of Jakku one of three ways:
- A redemption code on your receipt when you purchase the game.
- A printed card you will receive at the time of purchase that contains your code.
- An email sent to you from the retailer you purchased from that contains your code.
Star Wars Battlefront is releasing this November for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and on Origin for PC. Information on pre-loading and EA Access will be released in the future.
