After having their plans for the release of the official Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice teaser trailer spoiled, Warner Bros. did the only thing they could do — went ahead and released the high-def trailer online ahead of its original April 20th debut.
If you were strong and managed to avoid watching the leaked trailer, you can now enjoy it in full high-def glory. And let me tell you, it is so much better without the grainy footage and shaky cam.
First of all, you can actually get a clear look at Ben Affkeck as Bruce Wayne/Batman and the showdown teased in the trailer is all the better when you can actually see what's going on.
It's unfortunate that it had to result in this, but what did Warner Bros. expect by limiting the release of the trailer to a few exclusive IMAX theaters? Sure, the 15-minute long event on Monday sounds awesome, but they had to know the rest of the world was dying to see the trailer. It was an antiquated marketing plan; in 2015, you simply can not ignore posting the trailer to YouTube.
