David Duchovny actually cried when seeing the script of the X-Files reboot

He cried tears while climbing aboard the hype-train!

The six episode X-Files reboot is set to premiere after the NFC Championship game in January. It will see the return of both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, each reprising their roles as Agent Mulder and Agent Scully, along with tons of other key team members from the original series.

While X-Files fans are eagerly anticipating information on the reboot, Duchovny and Anderson have become privy to confidential information — they have the script in their hands! Unfortunately, Duchovny has made it clear that we won't be hearing anything about it, “I can tell you absolutely nothing—and it’s fantastic."

“I got the first script this morning,” David Duchovny told EW during a recent interview. “I just read it about an hour ago and I started crying reading the first page. It was just so strange to see the names on the page. "

"It had nothing to do with the script itself," Duchovny explained, "It was just like, I’d been talking about this for a long time. We’d been planning it for a long time. It took a long time to get all the people in the same place and get the deal with Fox. So let’s say two years we’ve been talking about doing it. Now it’s the fun part. Now we actually get to do it. That was nice and strangely emotional for me, and I’ll have to figure out how to use that [in the performance].”

It's happening, it's really happening. We are getting an X-Files reboot and the scripts are already written! Once they begin filming this summer we should get a trailer!
