Spider-Man reboot’s Peter Parker narrowed down to two actors

The kid from The impossible or from Ender's Game?

The Spider-Man reboot won't be rushing Peter Parker out of High School in order to move the origin story along. It won't be the traditional origin film that we have seen before. Seeing as Peter Parker will be in High School, it's important to cast an actor right for the role — not a 25-year-old shoe-horned into a High School (it looks so awkward).

Last we heard, Sony was deciding between five different actors for the role and it seems that Sony has narrowed it down even further to two actors  – Asa Butterfield and Tom Holland. Other contenders, Matt Lintz and Charlie Rowe left a good impression with the filmmaker, but Butterfield and Holland are leading the troop.

The Spider-Man reboot is set to release on July 27, 2017 and it's rumored to have an awesome title.

Check out the two in the lead below, which would you call Peter Parker?

Asa Butterfield (pictured below), 18, is best known for his role in Ender's Game as Ender and for his role in Hugo as Hugo.

Tom Holland (pictured below), 19, is best known for his role in Billy Elliot the Musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London and for his part in the 2012 film The Impossible.
