Activision took the stage tonight at Sony's E3 press conference to formally reveal Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's multiplayer.
While nothing will beat hands-on time with the game, which will be available on the E3 show floor, the reveal trailer gives us a good look at the expansive possibility in the new Black Ops 3.
As we learned earlier in the year, most of what's new in Black Ops 3's multiplayer stems from a chain-based movement system and the ability to play as one of nine new Specialists rather than just a random soldier with a loadout.
According to Activision:
"The new movement system allows players to fluidly chain movements together while playing in maps that have been designed from the ground-up to push strong head-to-head action. Choose to play as one of nine new Specialists, each with their own look, personality, abilities, and level progression system. Finally, equip up to five attachments and an optic while customizing nearly every aspect of your loadout with the new Gunsmith, then tap the power of the Weapon Paintshop to give your weapon a signature look."
Multiplayer beta for Black Ops 3 will launch first on PlayStation 4 this August.
