6 new modes outed on Spanish Star Wars Battlefront page

Heroes vs. Villains mode confirmed

In a recent post on the Spanish EA Star Wars Facebook page, the company revealed six new game modes for the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront. So far Walker Assault has been the only mode officially shown, alongside a co-op Mission, but EA has previously stated that more modes will be included. The post, when translated, reveals these modes:

“In addition to Walker Assault, Star Wars Battlefront will feature immersive, fun-filled multiplayer modes including Supremacy, Fighter Squadron, Blast, Drop Zone, Cargo, and Heroes vs Villains mode, that will be announced in the months ahead. Stay tuned for more information on these exciting multiplayer modes."

Out of all these modes, Heroes vs Villains sounds the most intriguing. As of now, we are only aware of three confirmed characters with Luke Skywalker as a hero and Darth Vader/Boba Fett as Villains. No other information was released on any of the modes but we can speculate from some of the names. Supremacy sounds like the Battlefront version of TDM or Domination. Cargo could be a Capture the Flag or Hardpoint defense type mode while Blast and Drop Zone have any number of possibilities. Fighter Squadron is an interesting dynamic as all Battlefront matches will consist of 20 vs. 20 in size. I can't see how EA would make a mode of 40 X-wings and Tie fighters flying around, although that would be bad ass and most likely the best multiplayer mode ever invented. It will be probably be split into an infantry and air combination but of course this is all speculation until EA provides more information on the modes.

At least we know that these are official game modes as it arrives from the game's official website. You can sign up for updates from the link above. Should it be taken down for any reason, we've included a screen shot of it below.

Star Wars Battlefront releases November 17th on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
