If you're into space exploration games or just gaming in general, you'd be hard-pressed to find any community not talking about No Man's Sky. This game is going to be huge, not in the sense of everyone playing it or anything like that — the actual game is huge. It's so big that there will be about 18 billion billion unique and explorable planets.
So huge that if everyone on Earth were to discover 500 planets per minute in No Man's Sky, it would still take around 10 years to discover every planet. Get it yet? The game is massive.
The chances of you meeting another player in this massive world are slim, unless meetup days at the center of the universe (wherever that is) are strategically planned. Whatever you discover, you get to name -so – it seems like you won't really have to take care with what you name things, people may never even see it. Of course, there will be AI taking up space in the game, they will either be helpful merchants or menacing pirates.
Either way, we have a long way to travel in the game (but hopefully not a long wait for a release date).
