Just Dance 2016 demo hits digital marketplaces

Test out the new smartphone experience

The team at Ubisoft have implemented a new control method for this year's iteration of Just Dance, which promises to extend the experience to a six-player experience without the use of camera accessories. Instead, players can use their smartphones to play. And in a demo that released today, you have the ability to test it out before the game's launch in October.

On the Wii U, Xbox One and PS4 marketplaces, you'll find a free proof-of-concept demo of Just Dance 2016, which features a single song to dance to — Blame by Calvin Harris (ft. John Newman). You can download this along with the new Just Dance Controller app (also released today) to test out the experience of playing with your smartphone. Alternatively, you can also opt to play traditionally, which on the Wii U will mean using Wii Remotes.

If you were hoping to get an early taste of Uptown Funk's routine, you'll need to wait for the full release. But the can't-help-but-dance-to-it song will surely be to Just Dance 2016 what Pharrell Williams' Happy was to last year's game.
