Over the weekend, we gave you our impressions of Rise of the Tomb Raider after some extended hands-on time with the game at Gamescom. Now you can watch a video of that same gameplay above.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is going to have new options when it lands on Xbox One in November that are going to directly impact how each individual person experiences the game. Players will be able to choose whether Lara takes a stealthy approach and quickly incapacitating her enemies or going guns a blazin' with full on, straight forward attack.
This version of Tomb Raider adds these options as a followup to the 2013 reboot game where Lara was just "starting out" for lack of a better phrase and still coming into her own. In addition to stealth takedowns, Lara will be able to utilize shotguns, grenades, heavy artillery, etc to get the job done. Rise of the Tomb Raider also features a much bigger world featuring an area approximately three times the size as the 2013 game with a renewed focus on actual tombs and puzzles. This new gameplay showing the vast open area of Syria blends these two areas brilliantly. Lara goes from one second being in the Syrian desert to the next being confined and working her way through an underground Oasis allegedly riddled with treasure. All these improvements are sure to provide hours of enjoyment even for those coming in fresh to the franchise.
Rise of the Tomb Raider releases this November on Xbox One while PC and PS4 users will need to wait until Spring and Holiday 2016 respectively. You can also check out the gameplay video Square Enix showed off at Microsoft's press briefing here.
