Fallout Shelter out now on Android via Google Play Store

Rollout launch begins for Fallout Shelter on Android

Fallout Shelter has officially released on Android, and can now be downloaded via the Google Play Store.

After weeks of waiting, Fallout fans on Android devices can finally take control of their own Vault today as they take on the role of an Overseer. As leader, it's up to you to create a bright future, building a variety of modern-day rooms that help ensure your community not only survives, but thrives underground.

Fallout Shelter is completely free-to-play, though there are in-game app purchases that are designed to help you in this post-apocalyptic setting. That being said, these microtransactions are totally optional, and Fallout Shelter can be enjoyed fully without spending a penny. There are no annoying paywall timers and no internet connection required.

While Fallout Shelter is available now on the Google Play Store in the U.S. (for us at least), Bethesda's VP of PR and Marketing Pete Hines did say it's a rolling launch, meaning it won't be available in all areas at once. So if you don't see it available for your Android device yet, be patient.
