With the multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 closing in, Treyarch has been details on what to expect during the beta period. They have already revealed details on available modes, maps, Specialists, and more, now it’s time to look at some of the more tedious details like what to do if your beta code doesn’t work, how big the beta file is and more.
First off, no there will be no zombies mode in the beta — the beta is specifically focused on multiplayer. Any progress you make during the beta will be wiped before game release and will not carry over into the game when it releases.
The file size for the beta is 15GB, so make sure you have enough room to satisfy that request.
Now for the more tedious of the things:
To enter the beta you will need to enter your beta code, it can be found on the receipt you were given when you pre-ordered the game (both email and/or physical). If you pre-purchased the game digitally through PSN, Xbox Live Store or Steam you won’t need to do that.
The moment you enter your code it should let you know whether or not the code was correct, on the off-chance that you’re hit with an error message saying your code in invalid or already redeemed contact Treyarch through the appropriate links below:
The beta will begin at 12:00 AM PST on August 19th for PS4 users and will begin rolling out at 12:00 AM PST on August 26th for Xbox One and PC users.
