It looks like the Xbox One version of Elite: Dangerous has finally gotten an official release date compliments of Frontier Development head honcho David Braben.
A number of things were also mentioned with the release date in his Reddit post including the announcement of an account crossover between PC and Xbox One. All of the people who played the preview on Xbox One will be getting special rewards, paint jobs may carry over to the full version but ships and modules will not carry over. Although it's unfortunate at first that you won't get your ships, you will get the cash value for these ships when the game launches so it's all good on that front. Also of note, is that Elite: Dangerous Horizons will be eventually making its way onto Xbox One as well.
The Xbox One version of Elite: Dangerous will launch on October 6th, 2015. It will be a timed exclusivity with the PS4 release date not confirmed yet.
