Update: There is a possible fix for the issue.
After hours of Xbox One players reporting issues downloading Destiny's latest update, Bungie has announced that they are investigating the reports. Up until this point there has been little communication from the developers with the community experiencing issues.
We are aware of Xbox users reporting issues downloading Destiny Update 2.0.0. Thank you for your patience as we investigate.

Prior to this tweet, Bungie's only comment on the issues was a tweet saying, "Many Guardians are trying to download the largest Destiny update to date at the same time. Thanks for your patience."
The main issues reported by players are that their installations are getting stopped at various points during the process and the transferring game content phase is getting stuck at anywhere from 30% to 55%. At this point, if you experiencing these issues it is safe to say that restarting the download at this moment will not resolve the problem.
While we wait for word from Bungie, make sure you have enough room on your console for the update:
- Xbox 360 players require around 10GB free for the update
- PS3 players will need about 30GB of room
- Both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners will require a minimum of 60GB of space
Be sure to list your problem on the Bungie Forums.
