Destiny: The Taken King’s PlayStation exclusive content shown off in new video

Exclusive Strike, multiplayer map, weapon, and gear

We've known for a while now that Destiny: The Taken King, like the release of vanilla Destiny, will come with exclusive content only for PlayStation players. The exclusive new content comes in the form an of a co-op Strike, competitive multiplayer map, Exotic weapon, and Legendary Gear Sets for each of the three classes.

While a recent livestream took us on a tour of the co-op Strike, The Echo Chamber, a newly published video from PlayStation Access gives us a look at all of the other items as well.

Competitive Multiplayer Map: Sector 618

"Challenge your fellow Guardians in this Crucible map set within the ruins of an Earth colony reclaimed from the House of Wolves. Fans of Clash and Control modes will find plenty to love in this mid-sized arena: each side’s narrow chambers give way to an open center area, connected only by two exposed bridges and a handful of small platforms for the adventurous."

Exotic Weapon:

The Jade Rabbit

"Featuring a 13-shot magazine, advanced scope, and adorable rabbit decal, this is the Scout Rifle you bring to a sniper fight."

Legendary Gear Sets:

"Guardians over Level 20 should keep an eye out for brand new, complete armor sets (helmet, chest piece, arms, and legs) for each class."

  • Hesperos (Titan)
  • Azoth Bend (Warlock)
  • Neuroghast (Hunter)

All of these items will remain PlayStation-exclusive until at least this time next year. Destiny: The Taken King launches next Tuesday, September 15th.
