Michael Bay in discussions for Transformers 5

The series that just doesn't know when to quit.

The Transformers films have been around for quite a while, it all started in 2007 with Michael Bay, explosions, lens flares, Shia LaBeouf, and Megan Fox. Since then, things have changed ever so slightly, Shia has been replaced by Mark Wahlberg, but the attractive female role is still filled.

Director Michael Bay has revealed that he met with Steven Spielberg to discuss continuing the series with Transformers 5. The conversation was likely centered around who would be in the film, how much it would cost and whether people would still pay for one of those films.

According to Bay the film is not official yet, but other reports are suggesting otherwise. Apparently, the Transformers 5 has story written by Oscar winning Akiva Goldsman, a writer, producer and director in Hollywood. The film is supposedly said to have Mark Wahlberg returning for more Autobot action, but still no Shia. Deadline has reported that production on the film will begin in June 2016.
