Destiny patch 2.0.0.5 fixes Hammer of Sol glitch, Black Spindle still safe

Fewer hammers, more Strike rewards

As you might have noticed already, Bungie released a small patch for Destiny today.

It’s not a big one, but does contain a hot fix for the rather popular Hammer of Sol glitch, which allowed Titan Sunbreakers to rapidly spam their hammer throws. Other than that, there’s just two other small fixes.

Classes

  • Fixed an issue where Titan Sunbreakers could rapidly spam the Hammer of Sol attack

World

  • Fixed an issue where players were occasionally not getting loot when opening chests

Strikes

  • Fixed an issue where players were not earning their rightfully-owed equipment from Valus Ta'aurc

Interestingly, the Black Spindle is still safe. Bungie previously warned that the highly-coveted Sniper Rifle — a Year Two version of Black Hammerwould be getting patched to fix a bug that resulted in the weapon doing 310 attack damage, 20 points higher than intended. It was thought that the patch to adjust the Black Spindle to match the attack rating for other Year Two Exotics would be coming soon. Guess not.

That’s probably good news for many of you who farmed the weapon when it was first discovered, or who plan on farming it today from the “Lost to Light” Daily Heroic.
