Fallout 4 is just over a month away! It will be available on Xbox One and Playstation 4, but PC gamers will be pleased to know that Bethesda has revealed the PC requirements for the game. As many are aware, graphical quality differences exists on PC due to their customizable nature. This, coupled with the extensive modability of past Bethesda games should cause PC gamers take note of the hardware requirements of Fallout 4.
The minimum requirements include
· Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit)
· Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent
· 8 GB RAM
· 30 GB free HDD space
· NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent
These specs are guaranteed to run the game. However, as any PC gamer knows, performance is on a scale when it comes to PC. There are also recommended specs to run the game at top quality:
· Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
· Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz/AMD FX-9590 4.7 GHz or equivalent
· 8 GB RAM
· 30 GB free HDD space
· NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB/AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent
In regards to consoles, 28-35 GB of space is required, depending on the language of the copy purchased. For instance, North American copies support English and French voice/text. However, the global range of languages include English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, and Japanese voices.
Fallout 4 includes plug & play features for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 controllers. No announcement on plug & play features for the Steam Controller (due out on the same day) but the timing leads to speculation of compatibility.
Lastly, Fallout 4 will be released on November 10th at 12:01 EST for America and 12:01 am for local times in other countries. Pre-loading for Steam is likely, as per past Bethesda releases.
