Well, it didn't take long for the first fireteam to complete the newly launched hard mode for Destiny's end game raid, King's Fall. The new difficulty was opened up today, and it took only an hour and 17 minutes for the first team to complete the raid on its new increased difficulty. There were only seven deaths.
Prior to its release, Bungie talked a big game of how hard mode promised to "upset" the rhythm of King's Fall. Anyone familiar with the raid already knows how important timing and consistency is; but, it looks like not too much has actually been changed. While Bungie is keeping the changes a mystery, Guardians have already taken to the internet to share what's new. It's not too much, but it's easy for me, who has yet to run the raid on the new difficulty, to say that.
Regardless, we've already got our world first — Clan Forever LivE.

Apparently they were pretty big douches during their livestream, but community manager David 'DeeJ' Dague took care of it.
World First is World First, friends. We'll pay them the respect they deserve and see if we can inspire them do to likewise.

Bungie previously said King's Fall was designed and play-tested internally with Hard Mode mechanics, treating it as the default experience. "Once we were satisfied, we removed them to arrive at the Raid you have already played," the developer said.
As a reminder, the Recommended Light for King's Fall hard Mode is 300-320, with loot dropping between 310-320 Light Level. You can see some of the special "Harrowed" raid set armor pieces here. No calcified fragments have been found yet.
