Destiny’s Iron Banner returning next week with overhauled rewards

Iron Banner switching from Control to Clash

Destiny's Iron Banner is set to return next week, Bungie announced. The special week-long Crucible event, which tests your Guardian's true power, will ditch Control and, for the first time ever, feature Clash as the game mode. But that's not the only change being made.

In the latest weekly blog post, Bungie Senior Designer Derek Carroll detailed an overhaul in Iron Banner's rewards. Iron Banner reputation from winning matches has been increased, as has activity completion rewards at all ranks. Check out the detailed reward changes below:

  • Iron Banner reputation from winning matches increased by 20%
  • Activity completion rewards increased at all ranks, with even more significant increases at Rank 2 and above
  • Packages from Lord Saladin upon reaching Rank 3 and Rank 5
  • Iron Banner Artifacts can be obtained from the Rank 3 package
  • Iron Banner Ghost Shells can be obtained from the Rank 5 package or activity completion rewards

Iron Banner will return next Tuesday, assuming everything goes well with the November update.
