Getting into Star Wars Battlefront might have been smooth sailing for some, but there are always some bumps in the road to massive constantly online game releases. Luckily, instead of ignoring the user experience, EA has detailed the most common problem and how to solve them.
You'll find fixes to common errors and issues below, which ports to use if your internet is laggy and just some general information. If your issue isn't listed within the confines of this page, head to EA's site to see if they address your problem there.
If you're plagued with lag or have connection issues, try these ports. If you've never set up ports before, here's how to do it for Xbox 360 or Xbox One, and for PS3 / PS4.

Game installation freezes or does not finish
Make sure to give your game plenty of time to install.
If you continue having problems, install your game and choose not to play the installation Darth Vader minigame when asked to do so, or close the minigame if you're already playing.
Allow installation to finish before playing any part of the game.
Xbox One players cannot join servers/matchmake
We've fixed an issue causing problems with matchmaking or joining servers on Xbox One.
If you're unable to matchmake or join servers on Xbox One, close your game and check for a game update.
Once updated, you should be able to join servers normally.
Infinite server loading screen/Stuck at server "joining" screen
If you get stuck while matchmaking, or encounter an infinite loading screen when connecting to a server, exit your game fully and try joining a game again.
“You are not allowed to access online features” error
While there are many reasons you might see this error when trying to play your game, it could be due to playing on an underage, or child, account.
Make sure you're playing on an account registered to a user of-age and try again.
Lower than expected performance when running AMD CrossFire dual graphics cards
A driver issue causes dual graphics card setups with AMD Crossfire to suffer performance drops.
AMD is working on a driver update for this issue.
In the meantime, disable one graphics card to avoid performance problems.
​​AMD players can change their Crossfire settings through the Catalyst Control Center.
- Right-click your Desktop and select Catalyst Control Center.
- Open the Graphics menu.
- Click CrossfireX.
- Uncheck Enable Crossfire.
- Click OK to save your settings.
Lower than expected performance when running NVIDIA SLI dual graphics cards
Update to NVIDIA's Star Wars Battlefront Game Ready driver from the GeForce Experience, or download the driver directly from GeForce.com.
Sudden disconnection from, or cannot connect to, server
Stay connected and logged into Origin to avoid disconnection from servers you're playing on.
If you disconnect from a server, make sure you're still logged into the Origin client
