Destiny’s December update on track to release next week

Full patch notes to arrive alongside the update

Barring any setbacks, Destiny's massive December update will go live next week.

"As the air grows colder and the mood turns festive, we’re in the toy shop working on another game update. Our current plan is to deploy the latest packages to you as soon as next week," Bungie said in this week's blog post. "The thing about plans is that they can change, so the exact day is up to the smart people who get to push the big red button. Stay tuned for more specific dates and times."

Bungie has spent the past few weeks detailing the many changes the update will bring, but noted that the full patch notes for update 2.1.0 won't be posted until the actual update arrives, "early next week."

As one of the largest updates since the release of The Taken King in September, it will adjust weapons and Guardian classes according to new data gathered post-expansion release. While Bungie has already detailed the weapon tuning, we've yet to hear how classes will be affected. However, it shouldn't be too much longer as Bungie is planning to reveal the future of the Titan class today. And it won't just be the Sunbreaker subclass affected; Bungie said Strikers and Defenders will also be getting tweaked.

Stay tuned as we wait to hear more from Bungie regarding the December update for Destiny.
