During PlayStation Experience today, Sony announced a brand new event coming this month to Destiny: The Taken King.
On Tuesday, December 8th, the Sparrow Racing League will kick off a three-week event introducing, well, Sparrow racing to Destiny. During this period, you'll be able to compete against friends in a six-person death race through Venus and Mars for exclusive rewards, including a special Sparrow.
When Sparrow Racing League begins, visit Amanda Holliday in the Tower as she will be your Quartermaster for the event. She'll offer a quest and bounties.
Although announced at PlayStation Experience, it can be assumed that the Sparrow Racing League will also be available on Xbox as well. The event will be free for everyone who owns Destiny: The Taken King.
In addition to Sparrow Racing League, Sony confirmed that this month's Iron Banner will bring a new set of gear exclusive to PlayStation.
Also arriving next week is the massive December update, which brings weapon tuning and class balancing tweaks.
