Yes, the Assassin’s Creed Abstergo phone number really works

He's out of office at the moment.

A couple of weeks ago, we got a look at Michael Fassbender in costume on the set of the Assassin's Creed movie. Since then, the marketing for the film has been kicked up a notch (anything is better than the nothingness they've been dolling out), a website for Abstergo has been set up and an image of Allan Rikkin's business card has been teased.

Rikkin is the CEO of Abstergo, a corporation in the Assassin's Creed series that you might be familiar with if you've played the games.

On the card (shown above), a phone number and email address for Rikkin are revealed, both of which are in working order.

Calling the phone number will have you reach a voice mail for Rikki saying:

Hello, you’ve reached the voicemail of Alan Rikkin. I’ll be out of the office on business until March 25 with limited availability.

Emailing Rikkin will send you the following reply:

Please note that I will be traveling for business Until March 25, 2016 with limited access to email. I apologize for any delay in communication and will respond promptly upon my return to the office.

For situations that require immediate assistance, please contact my assistant via phone (+34 911 98 0285 / 646-845-9162).

Regards,

Alan Rikkin

Not much is known about the movie's plot, but we do know that Fassbender will be playing Callum Lynch, a character new to the game series, that taps into his genetic memories and experiences life as his ancestor in 15th Century Spain. Spending time as his ancestor reveals that Lynch is a part of a secret society known as Assassin's (this plot sounds like every other Assassin's Creed plot, minus the era).
