Building off the hype of Bayonetta being the final DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. (on Wii U/3DS), Nintendo has revealed that Bayonetta 2 will be released on the Wii U again, this time without being tied to the original Bayonetta.
When Bayonetta 2 first released for the Wii U in Fall of 2014, it was bundled with its predecessor. This was a good deal for anyone that was new to the series, but unnecessary for everyone that already owned the first game.
Nintendo is finally releasing a standalone physical version for Bayonetta 2 on February 19th, for $29.99. This is great news for everyone that plans on buying her for Super Smash Bros., since Nintendo says that her gameplay will be similar between the two games. So… Consider Bayonetta 2's re-release as preparation.
