Harper Collins has officially announced that a deal has been signed with OpTic Gaming which will include the launch of their own book and reported cash advances.
This makes OpTic the first eSports team to land a book deal with a major publisher, and as we understand it the books will be authored by team members.

The book is already available to Pre-order via the Harper Collins official website, Amazon and a few other providers, all tagged with the following description:
"OpTic Gaming has dominated the Call of Duty e-sports arena, thanks to the talents of legendary players such as Matt “NaDeSHoT” Haag, the biggest eSports personality on earth; Seth “Scump” Abnerl, the best Call of Duty player in the world; Midnite, one of the first girl gamers to rise to stardom on YouTube; and Hector “H3CZ” Rodriguez, the team founder and CEO. With over one million subscribers and seventy-one million YouTube views, no other team of players in Major League Gaming (MLG) can match OpTic's popularity or ability to bring fans into the game.
"Now, these remarkable players have collaborated to produce this one-of-a-kind book. In OpTic Gaming, they candidly share their story of becoming Call of Duty royalty—consistently ranking in the top eight nationally—laying bare their lives, exploring what it takes to make it in professional gaming, and speaking honestly about the consequences of their newfound fame."
It seems $17.99 will be the price for the hard copy of the book, however there is also an eBook version available on the Harper Collins website for $12.99.
