Battleborn introduces two new melee-focused characters

Attikus and Galilea are now the 19th and 20th characters to be revealed

Two new characters have been announced for 2K and Gearbox's hero-shooter Battleborn.

Attikus is a slave, laborer, and warrior, who has been shoved into the deepest of mines and kept down. But due to an experimental biotech harness, this hulking brute was given something special: Intelligence. Check out his highlight trailer down below to get a sense of how he plays.

Galilea has kind of a different background story than Attikus. She was once a promising undercover agent, but when her sabotage mission went wrong and she was mortally wounded, it was the very technology she sought to destroy that ultimately saved her life. Galilea is at war with herself and only hopes to find a purpose in the Battleborn and their mission to save the last star in the universe. Check out her highlight trailer down below.

Battleborn will launch with a total of 25 playable characters, but as of now Attikus and Galilea are the 19th and 20th characters to be revealed. Both are melee-focused heroes with different stories and characteristics, making them two whole unique characters.

Battleborn can be played as a single player game, split screen with a friend, or with 5 of your buddies online in the co-op story mode. Don’t care for the story? Don’t worry, Battleborn also offers three unique competitive multiplayer modes that you and your friends can tackle.

Following a delay, Battleborn is scheduled to release on May 3rd for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Check out our hands-on preview with Battleborn here.
