Batman: Arkham Knight canceled for Linux and Mac

This is how the Batman dies on Mac and Linux

The Linux and Mac ports of Batman: Arkham Knight have been canceled. The sudden announcement was made on the gam'e Steam forums with no explanation given.

"We are very sorry to confirm that Batman: Arkham Knight will no longer be coming to Mac and Linux," reads the update. If you have pre-ordered Batman: Arkham Knight for Mac or Linux, please apply for a refund via Steam."

Publisher Feral Interactive was previously working to port the game over to the two platforms, which were originally announced in March of last year and then delayed in October.

Again, it's unclear why the sudden abandonment, but it could be linked to the issues that plagued the launch of Batman: Arkham Knight on PC, which forced Warner Bros. and Rocksteady to temporarily suspend sales of the game. Though the game returned to PC in late October, players were still encountering problems. Eventually, Warner Bros. offered full refunds for players through the end of 2015.
