No Man’s Sky soundtrack to release before the game, vinyl format available

10 songs, 6 soundscapes

The official soundtrack for No Man’s Sky, Music for an Infinite Universe, will release on June 17, four days before the game’s launch on June 21.

Scored by the band 65daysofstatic, Music for an Infinite Universe comprises 10 tracks and six soundscapes, offering nearly two hours of music altogether. The album’s second track, Supermoon, was released on SoundCloud today to celebrate the announcement.

The soundtrack will be available in four formats: digital download ($11.99); deluxe double CD plus digital download ($17.99); 10-track double vinyl plus digital download ($35.00); and 16-track deluxe x4 vinyl boxset plus digital download ($60.00).

Hard copies of the soundtrack’s six soundscapes are exclusive to the $60 x4 vinyl package, which also includes custom sleeves and box art by Version Industries (note: the above artwork is a placeholder). All packages include a digital version of the soundscapes, but disc copies are only available as part of the x4 vinyl bundle.

Additionally, both the x2 and x4 vinyl packages will not be released until Q3 2016, though early buyers will presumably be able to access the included digital download on June 17. Other package details can be found on the Laced Records store.

No Man’s Sky will release for PS4 and PC on June 21.
