While the announcement that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim would be getting a remaster is still sinking in Bethesda's Pete Hines has already starting trying to quell fears that the remaster wouldn't live up to people's standards. According to Hines, the Skyrim Remaster will be "as next-gen" as possible.
For anyone that has been worrying about the graphics, Hines and the team working on the remaster are doing everything they can.
"We haven't gotten into the full, 'Here's all the things we're doing.' But the basic idea is, in all the ways possible we're trying to improve it and make it as next-gen and appropriate for these consoles as possible," he told IGN (via GameSpot). "Performance, effects, or whatever we can do to make the game look and feel better, we're going to give it a go."
All the effort that Bethesda is going through to make Skyrim a worthwhile remaster for gamers might be why the game is going to be sold at the price of a brand new game, rather than less.
