Ladies and gentleman 2K Sports has confirmed the brand new cover star of WWE 2K17…. and that man is Brock Lesnar.
After months of speculation about who WWE and 2K Sports would select as the face of their video game, it seems both parties have selected a white-hot Beast Incarnate as opposed to upcoming talent
This decision, of course, is justified. In the next few months Brock Lesnar is set to fight in the octagon for UFC and then wrestle at WWE Summerslam, and it seems capitalising on that exposure is very much at the forefront of this decision.
Ever since Brock defeated the Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania 30, he has been one of WWE's biggest draws. However, many fans would have liked to see somebody on the rise take centre-stage, such as The New Day.

As it stands, WWE 2K17's marketing campaign consists of both Brock Lesnar and Goldberg, two iconic wrestlers in their own right, but these aren't the only playable characters that 2K has announced so far.
During the E3 trade fair artist Rob Schamberger was set the task of painting three WWE superstars, all of which will be included in the game. The painting included Sasha Banks, John Cena and the immortal Ultimate Warrior.
WWE 2K17 will be released on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this October.
