Mark Hamill has revealed on Twitter that Star Wars Episode VIII will wrap production later this month on July 22nd. A fan asked him if he could reveal any information about the film, and his response was a simple one followed by a slew of funny hashtags.
Episode VIII is currently slotted to release on December 15th, 2017 after being originally scheduled to release in Summer of 2017. So, it begs the question if the film will be done filming a full year before it's original release date, why even delay the film in the first place? Surely 12 months is more than enough time to edit up footage and make it all nice-nice for cinema, no?
Unfortunately, it looks like the world may never know as we're unfortunately stuck with 17 months of nothingness and post-production before we get to see Episode VIII Fall of the Resistance. What do you think about this long delay? Let us know below
It wraps on Friday July 22nd 2016 #LooseLipsSinkStarships #W8ForVIII #DontBeAHomer #PatienceMyPadawans #Rogue1Sooner https://t.co/92syo6m36d
