It's been a long and drawn-out process for Bethesda in their quest to deliver Fallout 4 mods on PlayStation 4 platform, and it would seem the grind has only just begun.
This news comes directly from Bethesda's marketing chief, Pete Hines, who has been tweeting about the supposed progress made in eventually delivering this functionality for PS4 gamers.
However, it looks like more of the same from Bethesda, and more bad news for Fallout fans playing on a Sony console.
"We're working with Sony on Fallout 4 mod support for PS4," Pete Hines posted on Twitter. "The process is still under evaluation. As soon as we learn more, we will share news."
You just have to wonder really, with the hype of Fallout 4 diminishing as the weeks and months go by, whether or not the game's mods will attract a similar amount of support to that of both Xbox One and PC platforms.
After all, the mods arrived on Xbox One towards the back-end of May, and now we're in August. Given the two months that have already passed without Fallout 4 mods being available on PlayStation 4, will it still resonate as an exciting prospect when it eventually does hit PlayStation?
Doubtful, but it remains to be seen.
