The day has finally come. Today, Sony will be holding their planned PlayStation Meeting and officially reveal their new hardware and quite possibly a number of new games for their hardware. Prior to today's event, we have seen countless leaks on the PlayStation 4 Slim and PlayStation 4 Neo. These two pieces of hardware are pretty much confirmed to be making an appearance during the event.
A couple of days ago, following the announcement of the PlayStation Asia version of this event, the PlayStation Vita and original PS4 were removed from the Sony China site. The removal of the original PS4 adds credence to the rumor that the PS4 would be phased out by the Slim version entirely.
Today, we should be seeing the reveal of both new PS4 versions, as well as a release date and price for the duo.
What hasn't been rumored is the future of the Vita. Its disappearance could suggest that the handheld is being discontinued or that a new version will be released.
Other rumors flying around the event point to Rockstar making a surprise announcement. It has been rumored that Rockstar will be revealing a new game during the PlayStation Meeting. Rumors went on to specify that the HD remaster of Red Dead Redemption will be revealed during the event and will head to the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
More recently, BioWare developers have begun teasing something to do with the PlayStation Meeting. It wasn't specified, but it appears that we may be getting a look at Mass Effect: Andromeda or hear about BioWare's mystery game.
What do you think will be revealed today?
