Sony is preparing to launch the successor to the PlayStation 4 in two year's time, claims analyst Damian Thong.
For those that have never heard of Damian, he correctly predicted both of the PlayStation Pro and PlayStation Slim consoles that Sony recently announced.
Thong's latest prediction was posted on Twitter by The Wall Street Journal's very own Takashi Mochizuki. Check it out:
PS4 Pro? Wait, what about PS5? Macquarie's Damian Thong who correctly predicted PS4 slim and Pro says PS5 may arrive in 2nd half of 2018.

Now, at this stage, Thong's prediction is exactly that – a prediction. Until it is confirmed by Sony we would encourage you to take it all with a pinch of salt.
If the PlayStation 5 was to be released in 2018, it would mean that the PlayStation 4 would have had a lifespan of around five years.
Some would say that it is highly unlikely that a new console would be released so soon after its predecessor, but what do you think?
Do you think Sony will release the PS5 in 2018?
