The demos for Nioh have been the best the best game Koei Tecmo has ever made, and Nioh is certainly the highest quality product seen from the company to date. It's Dark Souls meets Ninja Gaiden, drawing on Japan's own mythological creatures and demons to provide it with a unique flavor that stands out from today's games. I'm a pretty big fan of the game already.
Sadly, the 2016 release date has been pushed to February 9, 2017. While it is a bit of a downer to see yet another game delayed, especially to a jam-packed February, we should be happy the developer is taking their time with the most important game they've ever made. It would be far less desirable to have a rushed product now, after the demos have made a lot of fans.
It's also nice to see the release date will be worldwide: Unlike fellow February 2017 release Persona 5, Western fans will get to play this game on day one, as opposed to five months later.
