The upcoming production schedule for Marvel's Netflix programs may delay the next season of 'Daredevil'.
During this year's San Diego Comic Con International, Marvel showcased a massive haul of new trailers for their upcoming Netflix superhero shows which included 'Iron Fist', 'The Defenders', 'Luke Cage', and the highly anticipated third season of 'Daredevil'. With the announcement that The Punisher, who was featured in season two, would also be getting his own spin-off series (apparently slated for 2017), it seems that the docket has pushed back the next solo crusade of the devil of Hell's Kitchen.
A recent tweet from Natalie Abrams, senor writer for Entertainment Weekly, maps out an apparent production schedule for the upcoming run of shows:
Marvel/Netflix sked: Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Defenders THEN 2nd and 3rd seasons of the other shows and Punisher.

From the look of it, after the premiere of 'Luke Cage' this weekend, 'Iron Fist' and the ensemble epic, The Defenders, are next on the premiere list. Fortunately, we'll still get another encounter with Daredevil as he joins the other heroes of New York in the team-up series, but it seems that season 2 of 'Jessica Jones' and 'The Punisher' are taking priority for the time being. With this new information, its likely we won't get another full solo season of 'Daredevil' until probably Spring 2018.
Luke Cage premieres on Netflix September 30th!
