We all knew that Lionsgate was going to do their own thing with this new brand of Power Rangers, but it's still a bit shocking to see what they are going for with some of these new designs. Everything from Rita Repulsa, the Megazord, and even the Rangers themselves are all different, and to be fair, that's their right. To make your mark, you've got to change things up. But the reveal of Alpha 5 might just take the cake for "maybe they should have just done an updated version of what they had before" category.

So…yeah. That's Alpha 5. IMO, I can't tell if Alpha is pregnant or has thrown back a few too many space beers (I kinda hope it's the latter), but the bottom line is that this doesn't look very good. I get that they are going for a more organic look, which falls in line with Rita Repulsa's design, but still. I'm not a huge fan, but it is what it is. Hopefully, Alpha 5 can win us over in the end, but I'm not sure anyone around the internet is going to be bragging about how awesome he looks.
