Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is pretty divisive for most people. Some think it's terrible just because it is unbalanced and doesn't feel like Call of Duty thanks to new mechanics and some people just won't buy it because it's set in the future and in space. If you're one of the people who hasn't actually played it or you want to get it but are on the fence due to the reception of the game, we have a deal for you!
Players can begin playing a free trial for Infinite Warfare on Wednesday, December 15th. The trial has some restrictions, but it still includes a lot of content for no cost! Players can jump into the intense single player campaign and get a taste of the rich world and characters Infinite Warfare has to offer, you can fight the undead horde with some friends or you can play the fast paced multiplayer and test out the new mechanics like crafting and more.
The campaign in the trial will only allow you to play the first two levels (so you don't beat the game in one sitting) and the multiplayer won't allow you rank past level 15, which will give you a fair amount of toys to mess around with.
The free trial will end on December 20th and you will need PlayStation Plus/Xbox Live to access the multiplayer and zombies mode. The download is 60 GBs, so be prepared to use up a lot of space but if you do choose to purchase the game, you won't have to install another file! If you choose to dip your toes into any of the game's modes, all of your progress will carry over to the full game.
We reviewed Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare when it released in November and praised it for its fantastic campaign but criticized the multiplayer for feeling clunky and drifting too far away from the series' roots. You can read our full review by clicking here to gain some insight on the game.
