[Watch] The original Dead Rising has way more features and details than Dead Rising 4

Well... that says something I guess.

Dead Rising 4 saw a lot of controversy last year from hardcore fans of the series. It got rid of the timer that forced players to manage their time wisely, it made the game way easier by streamlining certain features, and they got rid of the original Frank West voice actor because they thought he should sound "older" despite him being more silly this time around.

The game released to some fairly decent reviews averaging a mid 70 on Metacritic but one YouTuber noticed some flaws that really ticked him off. Crowbcat did a 22-minute comparison video of the original Dead Rising and Dead Rising 4 showing a number of things (both big and small) that make the ten-year-old game look much better than the most recent entry in the zombie-slaying franchise. Dead Rising's biggest feature has always been being able to use literally anything as a weapon. TVs, chairs, plants, mannequin hands, you name it. If you see it, you can use it. The game was set in a mall, you need to be able to use everyday items for your survival! Dead Rising 4 saw the removal of a lot of this.

Little details like the hands of zombies ripping off when you grab them by the hand to flip them on the ground were also removed from the fourth game. Some of the graphics and facial animations of the zombies look much rougher than the original game as well. You can see the entire video down below.

Do you think this makes Dead Rising 4 a weaker game or are you satisfied with what was released last month? Let us know in the comments below.
