Cities: Skylines is officially ready to reveal its Xbox One version next month

About time too

Cities: Skylines was something of a savior for city-building simulation fans when it released on PC back in 2015. In the wake of EA's failed SimCity reboot, Cities: Skylines returned to and expanded upon the core of what made city builders so popular, and although it lacked the flash, it more than made up for it with substance. Developer Colossal Order and Publisher Paradox Interactive have been working on an Xbox One port, which was revealed back at Gamescom 2015.

Since then, not a whole lot has come out about the port, but it seems as though the tandem will be letting the press see the game at GDC 2017. The Game Developers Conference begins next month on February 27th and is sure to hold some other major reveals.

Just how good is Cities: Skylines? The game has an average Metacritic score of 85 and a total Positive user rating of 93% on Steam. It's also worth mentioning that the game was once used to plan a real-world transportation system in Sweden, so there's some legitimate simulation system at work here.
