Adult Swim drops the first official trailer for the upcoming ‘Samurai Jack’ revival

Its almost time for Jack's triumphant return!

Adult Swim has just unveiled the first official trailer for the upcoming revival of Cartoon Network's animated epic, 'Samurai Jack'.

News about the 'Samurai Jack' revival has been pretty scarce. After the inital announcement a year ago, fans of the original series have been begging for more on the continuing adventures of the time traveling samurai. Recently, there have been a series of teaser trailer to drop, but true to teaser trailer form, they showed no more than some promotional graphics and logos; just enough to keep us aware of the show's return. Now that an official March release date has been confirmed, Adult Swim has finally dropped the first official trailer (check it out above)!

It seems that Jack has been trapped in the future for 50 years after the original series ended. Based on the information given, it looks like Aku has been defeated and no longer an immediate threat, which is likely a result of the passing of Aku voice actor, Mako. Without the means to go back to his own time, Jack has been stuck in the futuristic dystopia, apparently incapable of aging as "time no longer has any effect" on him. Despite Aku's absense, his zealots and followers are now the ones who plan to start a war with Jack and finish what their master had started.

Samurai Jack premieres on Adult Swim March 11 at 11pm!
