Disney’s CEO has seen Star Wars: The Last Jedi; says it’s a “great new chapter…”

Lucky duck...

After months of waiting, we finally learned the title of Star Wars: Episode VIII last month. The movie has wrapped filming and is in the editing process as we speak and Disney promises a trailer in the very near future. Sadly, we'll have to wait until December to learn what the title 'The Last Jedi' is implying and where the story of Rey, Finn, and Luke Skywalker will take us next. Well, all of us but Disney CEO Bob Iger.

Bob Iger has seen a VERY early version of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and called it "a great next chapter in the iconic Skywalker family saga." The version Iger probably got to see was a rough cut of the movie that has all the scenes from start to finish, but the special effects were probably unfinished.

It does make sense Iger would compliment the film, considering it's one of their biggest movies and he wouldn't want to call it bad, but it's still nice to hear! It's especially reassuring that a rough cut of the film is completed which means director Rian Johnson and the folks in the editing room have plenty of time to put some polish on the film and add the glorious special effects.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi releases on December 15th, 2017
