Square Enix, the industry's biggest JRPG factory has announced yet another Fantasy RPG called "Project Prelude Rune," which will be developed by an all-new upstart studio called Studio Istolia. The company says that their aim with the game is to expand their ever-growing catalog of new IP's. Studio Istolia itself may be new, but it will have plenty of experience at the top, as it will be headed by Hideo Baba, a long time developer of the Tales series.
Baba will not only serve as the studio head, but he will be directly involved with Project Prelude Rune, serving as its Producer. Here's an official description of the game provided by Square Enix:
"The project aims to build a new RPG with a new fantasy: unfolding across a vast land teeming with life. Nurtured by the earth, the many peoples of this land dare to dream, fighting for what is just—and this is their tale."
That's all the information that Square Enix has given on the game, but you can expect to hear plenty more in the future. Until then, here are a couple more early pieces of concept art to tide you over.
